LumiSign produces a battery-operated license plate frame-lighting system that will put the brakes on boring lighting options.
LumiSign is adding a flashy touch of character to the front or rear license plate. Their wireless license plate light systems is designed as a stylish safety feature that improves vehicle visibility when braking or accelerating.
The patented technology illuminates the frame when it detects the vehicle accelerating or braking. The product line will eventually include hundreds of interchangeable inserts that slide into the LumiSign frame.
The device is wireless, weatherproof and includes anti-theft security screws, LumiSign said.
Put your name – or your opinions – in lights. The LumiSign is an LED license plate frame that lights up for 3 seconds whenever you brake if you put it on the back of your car, or accelerate if you install it on the front. Interchangeable custom inserts slide in and out of the LumiSign to deliver your message.
Most of LumiSign’s examples show favorite sports teams, alma maters, holiday wishes, or support for a cause, but you can order inserts with any text (plus some limited image designs) you want on them. I’d probably go with a shameless advertisement for my website in yellow and black, or “Bee-beep-boop beep-boop” in blue and white.
The LumiSigns is battery-operated with 4 x AAs, and installs just like a regular license plate frame with some included anti-theft security screws. Since there are no wires to run through to the vehicle interior the process should go pretty quick. With the 3-second illumination cap and 3 choices of light brightness, a single set of batteries can power the LumiSign for up to 6 months. Read the original article.
